I cook since I was 8 years old. I currently have a recipe database of over 470,000 recipes. I have published over 200 cookbooks in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian and hope to publish at least another 200 cookbooks in 2021.
Having been born and raised in Pennsylvania, the Amish community was a favorite place to camp and shop. One of the first cookbooks I created was Amish Recipes. Apple Grunt makes a great dessert or between-meal snack.
I would suggest a tart apple, like Granny Smith, but any firm apple will work just fine. My cookbooks are available on Amazon. I am working on my personal website, updating it and adding all my English cookbooks. If you have a personal recipe that you would like to share, please contact me.
