Perhaps you are tired of sitting in your chair and inadvertently hit a cyst on your back. What about hitting 10 cysts on your back all at once? It’s happened to me, and it’s not pretty. That’s why I spent a lot of my time looking for a back acne treatment to heal the big, nasty, swollen cysts on my back.
It is not easy to find a treatment for acne on the back. Unlike facial acne, back acne is more difficult to cure, as many products can stain your pajamas, sheets, and clothing if applied to your back. So from time to time you have to choose unusual methods of caring for your back acne, which means you have to research different treatments and products than you would normally use on your face.
There are a few back acne treatment options you can select from that I have applied myself and have found to be quite successful in getting rid of painful acne and cysts on my back.
1. Salicylic acid. Clinique offers a treatment called Clinique Acne Solutions Body Treatment Spray that contains 2% salicylic acid. That was a huge relief to my back and chest when I was having issues with out of control acne breakouts. It is also excellent for those small pimples that appear in groups and do not disappear.
2. Chemical peeling. Most chemical peels are not that expensive. Most dermatologists recommend four treatments, however, depending on the acuity of your acne, you may only need 1 or 2. Each one I had cost me $60, and it stayed clear for over a year. I’ve had a few flare-ups since then, but none as bad or painful as the one I suffered before.
3. Diet for acne. Occasionally, once you can’t get your hands on topical products to help get rid of your acne, you have to start working from the inside out. Starting a short acne diet is usually the method to get good results. Sometimes it’s just a matter of adding the right supplements and foods to your diet, and from time to time it’s a matter of understanding which foods to stop eating. It doesn’t need to be permanent, it just has to work long enough to start getting rid of your acne.
