Perception is a compilation
Of your past history
Through which you see
Wrongly or correctly
Your present reality
Perception affects your identity
Positively or negatively
Based on what you think
People think you are
Perception leads to projection.
The good, bad and ugly
Like what’s inside
Comes in expression
Whether embracing love
Or walls of rejection
Before you can continue
Your inner self must first precede
To frame your picture
And settle inside
Be transparent and befriend
Or be lonely and focus on
Unconditionally accept humanity
Or prejudge and condemn individuality
Projection evolves towards conception
Where thoughts, words and actions give birth
To what you have already contextualized within
Resulting in an external manifestation
An invitation to all creation
To live with you
Help make your dream come true
Or confirm your nightmare too
To walk with you
From conception to maturation
From coincidence to confirmation
From self-awareness to personal revelation
To give you a sneak peek
Of what your perception can do
How can it illuminate or cloud you?
Right or wrong
You wear it all day
Projecting it in word and song
Conceiving continuously from night to dawn
Without knowing why people respond
Some distant, some loving
Of you the one who perceives
Whose world inside and outside
Have come and gone
Sometimes in the company of friends
Other times with no one to lean on
So don’t judge anything ahead of time
Although there is no reason or rhyme
Because god is sublime
Know that man must first discover himself
Before I can find
The presumptuous perception
That confuses him most of the time
A prison or a paradise
You can have through perception
Everything depends on you
Your lighting
Your imagination
Your stimulation
Your inner feeling
If it’s going to be
It depends on me!
As a man thinks in his heart
So he is
This is not a pop quiz
Come out therefore
From behind bars
Rest in paradise
And reach for the stars!
