As a club level runner, I appreciate a good quality treadmill when I see one. As soon as I set foot in the t830, I knew I was in for a surprise.
The DKN t830 is a well built and robust treadmill. It’s very easy to use and the combination of a well-cushioned deck and multiple programs means this treadmill is suitable for a wide range of users, regardless of their fitness levels and goals.

So let’s give you the technical specifications:
The continuous duty motor delivers power smoothly. I was impressed with how quiet it was, even when the speed and incline settings were all the way up. The hotkeys were also useful and meant I didn’t have to think too hard – ideal when you’re in the middle of a hard workout. The display is clear and easy to read and provides all the data you need, such as current speed, incline, elapsed workout time and distance traveled. It also gives you a total of theoretical calories burned and a heart rate (using the built-in pulse grips). For more effective training, you can also take advantage of the t830’s heart rate monitoring functionality, whether your goals are weight loss or fitness.
The body fat test is not as scary as it seems. Just follow the instructions and grab the pulse sensors. In no time, your body fat measurement will be displayed on the console’s LCD screen.
The inclusion of speakers is a nice touch. Let’s be honest, it won’t replace your home hifi, but it’s actually an added feature.
DKN is a quality brand and I doubt the machine will develop faults but if it does, the full 2 year warranty gives you peace of mind knowing that if anything breaks DKN will fix it.
Due to the wide range of features and high build quality, I would recommend the t830 to any level of user, but more specifically:
- Those recovering from injury, thanks to the thick belt and cushioning technology.
- People who want to lose weight or improve their fitness, thanks to heart rate control.
- Beginners who want a quality treadmill that suits their needs.
- Experienced runners who want a treadmill with enough programs to keep them interested.
I hope this has been helpful. If you get a chance to try out the t830, do it. It’s a cracked treadmill.
