To make money online quickly and easily, you’ll need to start with an effective niche marketing strategy. You don’t want to target the really competitive keywords and markets for two reasons.
For one thing, it will take a lot of time and work to rank for broad keyword terms in search engines, making it really hard to rank for and get enough traffic to generate commissions.
The other main reason is because the traffic is not that specific. You want laser-targeted traffic, that is, highly interested people who are likely to buy whatever product you are promoting.
So to find these niche markets, you will have to use a good keyword tool. There are many payments, but if you don’t want to invest in one, you can do it manually using the keyword tool on Google.
It’s very simple, just type the first keyword that comes to mind when you think of the product or market you want to promote. If you were promoting a diet program, you might write “weight loss.”
Be sure to set it to get the exact number of searches. Use the drop down arrow to change from broad to exact search. You’ll see it to the right of the keyword box.
Now go through the list and try to find keywords that get at least a thousand exact searches. Then, to get an idea of the competition, copy and paste that keyword into Google, but be sure to put it in quotes.
Make sure there are no more than 50,000 competing pages. To dig deeper, take it out of the quotes and then see what sites rank for that term.
If there are authority sites ranking for that term like eHow.com or a wiki page then it will be too competitive. But if you see articles ranked by it or sites with the keyword in the domain name, then that’s a very good sign that it can rank for it.
Then, once you’ve found some keywords, just start writing articles to rank for or set up a niche blog site with your pre-sales pages. I really go into detail about how to do this niche marketing strategy on my website.
