Most people think of feng shui as a decorating term, and in many ways, that is what it is. However, feng shui can be much more than that; it can actually become a powerful influence on who you are and how you live your life.
If you are familiar with feng shui, you already know the key to its success: Energy. Feng shui is about manipulating energy, or chiaround you to redirect the positive influences in your life.
However, when you decide to adopt feng shui as a way of life, you will begin to find ways to incorporate those principles into your day to day life.
Step one: Become aware of the basic principles of feng shui.
The first step in any company is education. By becoming aware of the basic principles of feng shui, you are much more likely to be able to adapt those principles in your everyday life!
Second step: Create a space for healing chi.
You don’t have to completely “feng shui” your home to begin applying its principles in your life, but it is is It is essential that you create a space that you find peaceful, pleasant and relaxing. This can be as simple as a corner of your living room centered around a comfortable chair. Regardless, this should become your fuel center for sheng chi (positive energy).
From here, you’ll need to spend a few minutes of each day (ideally in the morning) “recharging” in your quiet spot. You can recharge in any way that works for you: meditation, prayer, or just sitting quietly. The point is not to read, or watch television, or think of anything other than becoming one with the peace you have created in this space.
Step Three: Carry that peace with you.
You may think, “It’s one thing to feel peacefully curled up on my couch; it’s another to be yelled at by my boss for the 15th time this week.” But you may be surprised! Taking a few minutes to cultivate peace within yourself will give you the inner strength you need to endure many difficulties throughout the day.
Step Four: Deflect and avoid negative energy.
As you become aware of the powerful peaceful energy that surrounds you, you will likely experience an increase in your awareness of other people’s energy and, according to feng shui, other people. seating’ Energy. You will immediately begin to recognize the people and places that trigger negative feelings and disrupt your inner peace. You have three options in this situation:
- Avoid: If possible, give that person or place ample space. For example, if you have a friend who has been giving you hell for years, maybe it’s time to let that “friendship” go.
- Change: When people send negative energy your way, it is often an expression of their own inner turmoil. Whenever possible, acknowledge that this negativity is part of your pain and is not directed at you. Always remember Fox question from CS Lewis Until we have faces: “Would like to be [her]? No? So she should be pitied.”
- Exchange: Try bringing your newfound peace into a space and watch how it changes. It’s amazing what a friendly smile and “Good morning!” can pull off even the grumpiest person.
And of course, if you’re talking about places, it’s time for the full force of feng shui to shine.
