Genesis 2:18, 21-24
And the Lord God said: It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make a helper meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and took one of its ribs and closed the meat in its place; and from the rib that Jehovah God took from the man, he made a woman and brought her to the man. And Adam said: This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; It will be called Woman, because it was taken from Man. Therefore a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
On June 2, 2014, my beautiful wife and I will celebrate 30 years of marriage together and now we have been blessed with the privilege of helping raise our 4 great-grandchildren. Maybe we did something right? (smile)
The traditional Judeo-Christian morality that my mother and grandparents taught me dictated that a man and a woman should be united in marriage for the purpose of helping each other, procreating and forming a family, and contributing to the benefit of the community. As far as I know, this concept continues to this day unless someone has changed the rules and I have not been informed.
These same moral values were incorporated by the founding fathers of this country in the writing of the Constitution of the United States and other legal documents that laid the foundations of this great country.
At some point along the line, our society has strayed from where God wanted us to be.
Remember, all law originated with God’s law. In other words, the law of man does not replace the law of God. Morality cannot be legislated. When Jesus came to earth, He came to restore and claim what the first Adam lost to Satan through sin. This he accomplished on Calvary on the cross. We should already be familiar with the story.
The Bible (1611 King James Edition) makes clear God’s views on the relationship between a man and a woman and also states His views on those who choose to disobey His decree on the matter. God is not the author of confusion and His WORD will remain, His will will be done … period.
Jesus came to usher in the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33), he did not establish a religion, and a kingdom is not governed by the democratic vote.
Since the 1960s, when prayer was legislated in public schools, morale in America has been declining to what appears to be a 180 ° turn from what my generation was taught and has served me well. for almost 70 years. Be careful America … do not repeat some of the fatal mistakes that history teaches us that others have made.
The time has come for the “silent majority” of this country to take a stand and return to the fundamental moral values on which this country was built. It can be done and now is the time.
GOD BLESS AMERICA and ISRAEL, our troops and our leaders!
