Nothing short of idiocy has come out of the last 3 1/2 years in Washington. When Congress has acted only to fall short and has often missed the boat on so many pieces of legislation, it is surprising why the United States has not sunk like the Titanic. A drop in the ocean is all that has come out of lawmakers in response not only to this pandemic, but also to the ongoing economic woes that millions of Americans have been facing for years.
With so much at stake this election year, no matter the outcome, the sinking ship of state will only continue to flounder on seas of ambiguity. With a babbling lunatic currently as head of state, America has veered off course into uncharted waters. In recent memory, other nations have not responded with horror, disgust, and condemnation of a sitting president and many others who have allowed the tirades, abuse of power, and total disregard for the rule of law to continue.
it might be too late for America’s greatness to return. The divisions that currently exist have no will to unify under a common good for all. It could be concluded that this Pandemic was an intentional act to force people to comply with certain mandates. Unfunded mandates that began to undo the hardships of an already besieged society. Since there was no unified national response and effort to contain the pandemic when it first appeared, millions upon thousands of Americans have died and many more have been and continue to be infected.
When people looked for leadership in a time of crisis only to find that our leaders had failed miserably, the time of retribution was near. Ultimately, we the people have to act not like the French Revolution or the Civil War, but to pick up the gauntlet that President Kennedy dropped 60 years ago when he said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but What can you do”. for your country.” This was a rallying cry that unified a nation. He set the course for America for decades to come. We put a man on the moon, we built the International Space Station, and we did so many wonderful things that made make America stand out in the eyes of the world.
We have to realize that relevant policy directives and reforms must be put in place to lift the United States from irrelevance and back to being the great nation we used to be. The Ten Articles of Confederation of the National Economic Reform are those reforms and relevant political directives. The implementation of the ten will have profound effects on all Americans. Effects that will produce the necessary changes that will lift all Americans to achieve a better quality of life. And, in the process, it will usher in a new day for Americans for generations to come.
