This guide will help you install mini blinds. Installing them is never difficult if you follow certain steps. We all know that installing blinds helps protect our room from sunlight and gives us privacy, especially mini blinds give a dazzling look to the interior of your room and reveal your character as a good homeowner.
There is a wide variety of mini blinds available on the market. Manufacturers such as Levelor, Hunter Douglas, Bali, Kirsch and Comfortex offer you a range of designs and colors to suit your room. The mini blinds are available in wood, aluminum, synthetic wood or vinyl with vertical or horizontal structures. Now that you’ve chosen to install one, let’s see how to do the same.
Follow these simple steps:
1. Where to place the mini blind: First, you need to decide where to place it, outside or inside the window frame. Mounting it outside will give you control over the sunlight, while mounting it inside will give a better interior look to the room. Mini blinds are mounted on brackets to provide a finished look, the brackets typically have pre-defined holes.
2. Measurements: To mount inside the window frame, measure the width between the points where the brackets will be placed. Then record the narrowest measurement. Next, measure from the top inside of the window sill shell. A minimum of 1 inch of flat clearance must be left to position the bracket. For mounting outside the frame, you will need to measure the total area you would like to cover. If there is no more than 1 inch of clearance in the housing, hang the louver out of the frame. The measurement should be at least 1 1/2 inches more than the window measurement to fully cover each side.
3. Installation:
to. Remove the window stoppers from the casing after you have purchased your custom size mini curtains.
B. Now fix the brackets to the side, top and bottom window housing with the help of a screw. Two or three screws per bracket are recommended.
vs. Keep the rod to the left and lift the cable to the right, slowly slide the mini blind into the bracket you just fixed.
D. After the mini blind has fully slid into the bracket, place the covers on them.
me. Lastly, if your blinds are long, remove a few slates from the bottom end and you can get your desired length.
So you are done with the installation and enjoy the new look that will make you feel like a proud home owner.
