One of the best things about the RC hobby is the diversity of terrain. For example, you can frolic in the dirt or you can accelerate on the street. You can rule the air with a plane or a helicopter, or you can navigate the seas with a ship. In this article, I am going to cover how to navigate the seas with the electric RC boat called Flying Fish Speed Racing. Now the optimal type of water to run an RC boat would be a nice calm lake. I would not recommend trying to run in choppy water, it makes it harder to maintain control and could capsize the boat. Another thing to mention is that if you do flip the boat over or crash in any way, be prepared to get a little wet. Besides, what’s the fun of playing in a lake if you don’t swim a bit?
The Flying Fish is a good size boat measuring 41 inches long, 14 inches wide, 10 inches tall, and weighs about 35 pounds. Ella is a fully featured RC boat powered by two SC550 type racing engines. The propellers are professionally designed and the high capacity rechargeable battery and fast battery charger make this a long lasting, high speed boat. Top speed is around 30 miles per hour. She has a Vector-Push design and is easy to control. The drive mechanism is 100 percent metal which is very strong and durable. The Flying Fish comes 100 percent pre-assembled with gloss exterior paint and is ready to go.
What comes with it? The Flying Fish comes in a complete package. The package includes the remote control, 8 AA batteries for the remote control, an RC2300 12-volt rechargeable battery, and a 110-volt battery charger adapter.
For whom? This is a larger electric RC boat that is more powerful, faster, and more expensive. I would recommend this for intermediate to expert drivers, ages 12 and up. If you haven’t driven an RC boat before, I’d start with something cheaper to get the hang of it and move on.
I hope this has been an informative article for you and I wish you luck with your RC boating hobby. Feel free to come check out some photos of the flying fish or check out our other electric RC boats.
