Fantasy WR Rankings
We’ve broken down the Early 2022 Fantasy WR Rankings in order to determine who the best players are. The first position is wide receiver, and this is a key position to target early in your draft. You can find a full breakdown of the top 20 wide receivers in this class here. You can also use this list to evaluate the talent you already have on your roster. Just keep in mind that this ranking is just a guide and does not reflect the value of any specific player.

Aside from the Top-5, we’ve ranked several rookie WRs, including Cooper Kupp and DeAndre Hopkins. Kupp was the league’s top fantasy WR in 2021, and he was elevated by Matthew Stafford to the top five by 2022. Kupp, a top-5 fantasy WR in 2019, threw for 31% of the team’s passing attempts. But if you’re looking for an early 2022 fantasy WR ranking, you might want to consider a late draft pick. Then, consider the value of drafting a rookie and a mid-tier veteran.
Early 2022 Fantasy WR Rankings
With so many talented receivers available in the early 2022 draft, it can be difficult to decide which one to start. The two most valuable early 2022 WRs are Chris Godwin and Brandin Cook. Cooks’s 24% target share and strong target rate are both attractive traits for an early-2022 fantasy WR. If you want to target Cooks early in the draft, be sure to select him in Rounds 2 or higher. But remember, these are the only two WRs with a solid alpha, so choose wisely.
Antonio Brown is one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL. While he did not have an excellent season last year, he was still WR28 and WR29 in fantasy PPG. His ceiling is high, and he is the Derrick Henry of receivers. In 2021, Brown averaged 8.1 targets per game, and ranked sixth in fantasy PPG. This year, he’ll get plenty of targets and is a great value for any fantasy manager.
While drafting a WR in the early to mid-round, Adams and Cooper Kupp should be part of the equation. Adams finished just one spot behind Kupp in the 2018 PPR fantasy rankings. Kupp has the higher upside, but he’ll be too expensive for most people to draft them. They should be in the top-three, but both WRs will likely be expensive in your draft.
