Bugatti Galibier 1000 HP concept car to come true as Bugatti Royale

May 27, 2022May 27, 2022 by admin

In the world of elite luxury cars, Bugatti has been in the spotlight for the past decade due to the company’s race car pedigree and most recent production supercar, the Bugatti Veyron, which broke world records. Now, the company is starting a whole new chapter and starting to fill the motoring world with interest once again with a new 1000-horsepower four-door sedan. This time it will be a production car version that is based on the “Bugatti Galibier 16C” concept car (first seen in 2009), it is now planned to be called the “Bugatti Royale”.

Bugatti was founded by Italian Ettore Bugatti as a manufacturer of high-performance cars in 1909 in Molsheim, Alsace. The company known for its racing pedigree enjoyed many great racing successes, especially in motorsport’s first Grands Prix after winning the first Monaco Grand Prix. The pinnacle of Bugatti’s success was under driver Jean-Pierre Wimille, who won the “24 Hours of Le Mans” twice (once in 1937 with Robert Benoist and then again in 1939 with Pierre Veyron).

The company entered a slow decline after the death of “Ettore Bugatti” who died in 1947 and was finally sold to the Hispano-Suiza company in 1963, since then the company has had several owners and little success as a brand. That was until in 1998, when the German car manufacturer “Volkswagen AG” bought the rights to produce cars under the Bugatti brand, the famous historical car brand was back in business and thanks to the design and development of the sports car from elite “Veyron”. Bugatti was once again on the most wanted list and in the case of the Veyron in the record books.

The “Super Sport” version of the Bugatti Veyron remains the world’s fastest road-legal production car, with a top speed of 431.07 km/h (267.85 mph), with an ultra-high level of trim and detail , some consider it a pure automotive work of art.

With all this in mind, Bugatti wanted to go a step further and produce the four-door saloon version called the “Royale”, which will continue to be powered by the same unique “W16 engine” found in the Veyron. Rumor has it that it could come with just 2 turbos (instead of the Veyron’s usual four), but it also features a linked electric motor, in some ways a step towards greater environmental ethics. The engine will run on bioethanol, so again this mark is an environmental box, even if it’s a small one.

For anyone interested in production of the Bugatti Royale, due to start in late 2012 or early 2013, you won’t have long to wait now (although the waiting list will have already started), as you can imagine, this car won. it is not cheap; at around £850,000 or US$1.4 million in today’s currency exchange.
