Dominick’s, known as one of the best summer spots in Ann Arbor, has a stunning outdoor patio to enjoy all summer long. All the locals know that when Dominick’s opens, it is officially summer!
When you walk in the door, grab an outdoor picnic table on the patio and line up with your friends (you’ll need a few extra hands to carry food and drinks). The menu is written all over the walls while you wait in line, and each drink is served in giant jugs or jars. The staff are fun, young, and friendly, and this place is a total no-frills bar to hang out. And the food is pretty good too. The best time to hang out at Dominick’s is a sunny afternoon, as Dominick’s is primarily a daytime / evening venue, and closes at 10pm.
If you are planning a trip to Dominick’s, the must drink is their sangria. People from all over the Ann Arbor area come for these things. It is quite strong, so you will need some good friends to share it with. Another great option is “Constant Buzz,” a delicious fruity summertime iced concoction that Dominick’s is also known for.
As for food, their pizza is always a great choice. It’s super satisfying and enjoyable after a glass of sangria. They have a plethora of options to choose from, you can make your own pizza with your favorite toppings if you want. The pizzas are big enough to split. Also try one of their many pasta dishes, including cheese ravioli and even lobster ravioli.
The bottom line: the price here is pretty college / budget friendly. With every $ 10 or $ 20 spin, you’ll get drinks and a meal and leave feeling satisfied.
