He was gone for only a few seconds and here came a lovely girl about his age who said: “I’m Barbara, what’s your name miss?” “Julie,” she replied weakly and tearfully. “Well, Julie, come with me. Let’s go to my house. It’s just me and my brother, and we have a spare room. You’ll be welcome and comfortable and your worries will soon fade away, you’ll see.

Bobby, the man who left the note, had been informed of the events by a lady at the next table who had known Charles, but she refused to get involved, so Bobbie took it upon herself to write what the lady told her. he had said and placed it on Julie’s desk when Charles went to the bathroom “Julie, listen to me now. My brother is a lawyer and a very good one. I think you have some sympathy for yourself. You are not a thief or con man by nature. You have been fooled. I’m sure it can help,” said Barbara.
Bobby, Barbara’s brother, became quite the hero in Julie’s life. He managed to help the police catch Charles Gleason after speaking with the district attorney. He located the stock purchase transaction. Charles Gibson actually tried to double the money and bought shares in the company Julie worked for, in her name. With the money back under the company’s control and the culprit in jail, Bobby arranged a parole request for Julie that he was sure would be granted. He gave him a job at her law firm and a loan from her to allow him to buy clothes and a car.
She stayed with Bobby and Barbara as the trauma settled in her mind. Bobby was falling for Julie and it was obvious to his sister and to Julie to some extent. She started to stress again because she adored him for what she had done, but she didn’t have any romantic feelings for him.
She was afraid that he would confess his love to her and what would happen when she told him that she couldn’t love him back. As thief as she was, she felt that she was still in love with Charles. However, something else was going on. She noticed that Barbara was also looking at the cow-eyed species of hers. She began to think about this and was fascinated.
Barbara was a lovely lady with beautiful eyes and a perfect smile. She never came out with what Julie had seen. She occasionally went out with a friend. Nancy enjoyed looking at her and when they accidentally touched her she felt a warm feeling.
Bobby had made a deal with the district attorney for a plea deal that would get Nancy on five years’ probation. Now all he had to do was get the judge to agree that she could stay in New Mexico instead of returning to Colorado. He was so eager to tell Nancy that he left early to surprise her at home. When he entered through the back door he felt strange, he was too calm or something was wrong. Like no one was home, but he knew they’d both be here at this time of day on a Friday afternoon. He had given Nancy the day off and Barbara was working nights this week. He felt so strange to him that he walked in silence.
